Evolve Selection are currently recruiting for a dynamic, forward-thinking Medical Devices company with an extensive portfolio in the Ophthalmology market. This leading organisation are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Business Development Manager to fully manage the development of sales across the whole of Ireland within the retail sector. The role will provide day-to-day management of all territory and active promotion of the company, their products and services to ensure the success for territory and Business Unit.

Essential Requirements
You will have proven Medical Sales experience, ideally within Ophthalmology. However, sales experience from outside the Medical industry will be considered.
Knowledge and experience in a senior territory sales management role (target driven), with a proven track record of appropriate achievements.
Commercial awareness/business acumen of the vision market and/or the pharmaceutical industry; knowledge and understanding of products, services and marketplace will be highly advantageous.
Proven experience in developing and establishing successful key relationships and delivering excellent standards of customer service.
A real ‘go getter’ attitude and energetic personality.
Willingness to travel and flexibility to work occasional weekends / nights away from home.
Current UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.

Role Responsibilities
Sales Management of all customers within the defined territory, providing a principle point of contact with the overall objective of achieving long-term sales.
Pursue targets by customer/brand and account penetration within territory by effectively selling products and services within agreed timescales.
Achieve agreed contact, coverage and frequency targets (Customer Segmentation) through face-to-face meetings and deliver customer centric activities in line with business objectives.
Promote defined products according to campaign briefs and policies.
Ensure outstanding knowledge of all products – clinical and technical information, product strategy, market positioning and brand story messages to assist customers in selecting those best suited to their needs.
Responsible for the management of Pricing, Trade Terms and Promotions as agreed within company guidelines with all relevant customers.
Responsible for ensuring an effective marketing plan is developed for the allocation of Marketing Development Funds to ensure the most effective return.
Maintain clinical, technical and category knowledge by completing all appropriate training modules within agreed timescales and by attending company conferences and workshops.
Attend and participate in relevant local, regional and national Conference and Exhibitions as required, representing the company in a professional manner.
