Our client is a fast-growing, market-leading Pharmaceutical company with a wide portfolio of products within the Ophthalmology market. This ambitious organisation is a key player in the Dry Eye market and are currently looking for a Key Account Manager to cover key Hospitals within East Anglia & Lincolnshire. In this role, you will bring sales success from your managed territory and establish our client’s products as the treatments of choice in appropriate patients in appropriate indications as directed by line management.

Essential Requirements
You must be an experienced Medical Sales Representative within Secondary Care.
Ophthalmology experience is advantageous but not essential.
Degree level qualifications, ideally BSc.
ABPI qualified is desired, but assistance to gain ABPI can be provided if not gained already.
Sufficient gravitas to be able to hold peer-peer conversations with KOLs.
UK resident or an existing work permit essential.
UK Driving License required with a maximum of 6 points.

Role Responsibilities
Establish and enhance the reputation of the company as a scientific Pharmaceutical based organisation and partner of choice for Consultant Clinicians in the specialist areas in which the company is present.
Gain positive formulary decisions at Trust & CCG level for Products.
Sell Products to KOLs in the relevant field to both Clinicians and Payors.
Call upon Secondary Care Clinicians in the hospital environment and see other associated Healthcare Professionals who have a role in treating relevant diseases.
Call upon relevant Payor contacts within CCGs to establish products as the product of choice for that CCG.
Identify and categorise Key Opinion Leaders (KOL) with an interest in the relevant field who have influence in the following capacities:
International / National, KOLs are known and respected nationally and abroad, are invited to speak at international and national symposia.
Regional / Local – have influence in a region or take a leading role in decision making that influences trusts and hospitals other than their own place of work.
Communicate complex and intricate scientific concepts, present the data and arguments in a credible and understandable style appropriate to your audience.
Through and following consultation with line manager implement local audit activities that will be of useful benefit to the company.
Deliver as required presentations to departments on products and relevant medical education.
Facilitate the formulary adoption of products on to NHS Hospital Trust & CCG formularies within your territory.
Notify the larger organisation of any environmental blocks or issues which are hindering the use of products.
At all times working within the ABPI code of practice and meet the standards of ethical practice.
Attend when required, National and regional meetings for training etc.
Effectively organise your time and manage your territory to maximise sales and contacts with relevant customers.
