We are recruiting for a global, blue-chip organisation with specialist products within the Oncology marketplace. They are looking for a Regional Business Manager to cover the Midlands, including East Anglia, East Midlands, West Midlands, South West, and South Wales. The successful candidate will be accountable for the development and achievement of the regional sales plan through a high-level of understanding of their local environment, and the effective leadership and development of a team in order to drive sales performance.

Essential Requirements
You will have experience of working in an NHS or Pharmaceutical industry based role.
Proven track record of people leadership.
Proven track record of sales management success.
Experience of influencing successfully in a complex organisation is desirable.
Business / commercial related degree or similar higher-level qualification.
A scientific qualification and a Wellards NHS diploma are ideal.
ABPI qualified.
Full driving licence.

Role Responsibilities
Delivers the sales targets for the promoted brands and management of the regional promotional budget to provide the optimum return on the company’s investment.
Develops and implements a regional plan to implement national marketing strategies and achieve sales targets, engaging relevant stakeholders e.g. Diagnostics, Payer Evidence, MSL etc. Includes analysis that considers local conditions and market access intelligence to determine the required resources and activities required to deliver optimal performance.
Supports, tracks and plays an active role in the implementation of the individual account plans.
Understands the specific needs of local stakeholder organisations, plans and works with them to implement key initiatives that will deliver outcomes for all parties.
Proposes local resourcing plan to the Head of Oncology Business, including allocation of sales representatives and prioritisation of accounts to maximise the productivity and efficiency of the sales force.
Establish, communicate & monitor measurable performance objectives for individual staff.
Proactively manage team members who are not meeting performance/capability expectations ensuring HR are engaged in a timely fashion.
Ensure and deploy appropriate reward & recognition to sustain high performance.
Implement plans to embed the company values within the Oncology Account Manager team.
Identify and develop talent to meet anticipated needs in the region and the wider business to deliver on agreed business direction and account plan.
