Our Client are a leading European specialist Pharmaceutical company with a well-established portfolio of products. With a presence in all major European markets, they are looking for a flexible and agile Business Intelligence Analyst to join their team at their Head Office in West London. The main focus of this role will be responsible for leading and developing a local BI function to optimise Sales Analytics, Market Research and Strategic Planning activities within the UK & Ireland Regional Commercial Unit (RCU).

Essential Requirements
You will have previous experience working with analytics, ideally within Pharma.
Excellent data analytics, interpretation and insight generation skills.
A good understanding of sales and marketing in the pharmaceutical industry is desirable.
Strong technical capability across a range of Business Intelligence activities.
Excellent customer service ethos, desire to go the extra mile, willingness and drive to learn and ambition to succeed.
Desire and ability to ensure recommendations are acted upon.
Operating in a matrix management structure and leading global change programmes in this environment.
Good leadership, influencing and diplomacy skills to engage and influence Senior Global and Local Managers to gain commitment and consensus as and when required.
Ability to understand complex business issues, assimilate large amounts of information, conduct detailed analysis and reach the correct decision quickly and accurately without reference to senior management.
Having the tenacity and drive to drill down to the root of an issue, exploring all possibilities and not giving up until the real issue is fully understood.
Ability to manage expenditure across a number of projects.

Role Responsibilities
Optimising the sales performance and profitability of brands through market and customer insights / intelligence.
Develop and deliver market research plans that will improve ROI for brands at each stage of the lifecycle. Manage the associated budget and ensure these plans are delivered on budget, on time and to a high quality standard.
Challenge existing sales and marketing strategies and develop recommendations to increase the ROI of these investments.
Support and challenge through the brand planning process to ensure strategies developed for each brand at all stages of the lifecycle are optimal.
Optimise resource and investment allocation between brands based on potential / ROI and within each brand based on measuring ROI of the tactics applied.
Generate post launch performance tracking systems to continually assess KPI’s and proactively make recommendations as to how performance could be enhanced.
Operate in a fully integrated way with the Marketing Team to help drive positive change and support the marketing / brand team with market insights and reports as required.
Work with the brand teams to ensure that for each brand there is a future competitor landscape map in place. Ensure that the development of these competitors are tracked closely, a risk assessment completed and that a defence strategy is in place in advance of any launch.
Supporting business decision making through the provision of recommendations based on solid evidence, including input to the business planning process.
Develop and deliver BI plans in conjunction with Sales and Marketing colleagues that deliver on business need. Manage the associated budget and supplier base.
