Our client is a global pharmaceutical company who provide innovative products and services in more than 20 countries around the world. With more than 100 years of scientific expertise, this company draws upon a rich legacy of innovation and a robust pipeline of promising new medicines to help patients and creates innovative new and generic medicines, and new methods of drug discovery and delivery.
They are looking for a Business Insights Manager to support the Regional Teams with relevant information and analysis to enable an optimal diagnosis of the situation of each account and monitor of the account plans, including performance tracking (i.e. sales and activity) to work out of the Head Office.
As the successful candidate you will be expected to:
• Develops and maintain effective management information systems and reports to monitor market dynamics, track return on investment, meet the reporting requirements of performance objectives/incentives, and to track performance across the sales and marketing function
• Develop and maintain effective systems and processes to monitor and collate competitor information from all sources to optimise the quality of planning and implementation to drive performance
• Develop true expertise in understanding and interpretation of all potential data sets (commercially available and NHS) and converts this data into usable reports, dashboards, and customer engagement tools which incorporate multiple data sets to deliver enhanced planning, and customer engagement
• Ensure that personal expertise in terms of data sets and the interpretation/analysis of these data sets is maintained to enable effective decision-making, competitive advantage for the company and to minimise the reliance on external suppliers
Technical/Professional Knowledge
Essential –
• Substantial experience of and proven ability to deliver concise and impactful analysis.
• Experience with data systems and tools, including but not limited to key suppliers
• Excellent attention to detail and a passion for adding value to the business
• Thorough understanding of the UK market including NHS structure, types of organisation/ customer and broad NHS policy/operating framework
• Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills
• Advanced user of Microsoft Excel
• A strong understanding of the required functionality required to support an effective CRM system from an end-user perspective
• Full driving license and ability to travel throughout the UK when needed
• Degree level educated (or equivalent)
Ideally you will be an expert user of Microsoft Excel and Access including potentially a professional qualification, have successfully operated in an analytical role within a Pharmaceuticals company. Also, if you have experience of building databases, being involved with working with commercially available market and/or NHS data-sets this would be desirable.
