We are currently recruiting for a market leading Medical Device organisation with an exciting new opportunity working as a Field Service Engineer within the Renal market, on a 10-month fixed-term contract. This role will be working across the M4 Corridor mainly, with elements of national travel when required. The main purpose of this role is to effectively deliver complete technical service and support for all equipment supported by our client and to uphold industry leading technical services across a wide portfolio of medical equipment.

Essential Requirements:
An Electro-mechanical engineering background is essential, supported by a technical qualification (e.g. ONC/HNC).
Ideally you will be located closely to the M4, between Swindon and London, however other locations may be considered.
Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer, ideally within medical devices would be highly advantageous.
Experience of working in a highly customer driven organisation.
You must be confident in communicating effectively, with both customers and internal stakeholders, in an authoritative and professional manner and manage expectations.
Able to understand and maximise individual contribution to revenue and profitability.
Be able to identify an opportunity for new business or growth of existing.
Able to interpret data (machine generated e.g. online, basic financial, service delivery).
Understand KPIs and be able to adapt working practices to ensure service level is maximised.
Strong team player, with a flexible approach, yet able to work unsupervised and under pressure.
Willing to work flexibly, including out of hours or weekends as required.
Excellent communication skills and be able to work in a rapid response environment.

Role Responsibilities:
Commissioning and installing machines at either our client’s site or customer sites.
Effectively servicing the whole range of machines in accordance with manufacturers and local UK requirements.
Effectively deliver service on other products within our client’s portfolio, to maintain productivity.
Efficiently diagnosing faults and repairing machines.
Flexibly in providing emergency cover and undertaking maintenance to meet machine availability requirements.
Completion of detailed service reports recording all required information for all work undertaken.
Maintaining accurate stock records for all inventory held and managing inventory levels to deliver a high first-time fix rate.
Maintaining complete monthly reports to record time spent on activities not captured on service reports.
Providing out of hours telephone support for installations on a rota.
Representing the company in a professional and service oriented manner.
Providing support and coaching to customers where required.
Proactively maintaining and extending own and others skill base and technical knowledge through personal development and training.
Establish and maintain communication and partnerships with customers, team members and business contacts.
