Evolve Selection are currently recruiting for an exciting new and exciting opportunity with a dynamic and supportive Healthcare organisation. This role will be working as a Medical Equipment Engineer at the site based near Bury St. Edmunds. The main purpose of this role is to conduct, coordinate and manage equipment related maintenance and improvement activity in order that equipment availability, reliability and capability is continuously improved.

Experience maintaining and repairing gassing technology decontamination equipment.
Good level of experience of maintaining electrical and mechanical plant and equipment.
Ambitious, with strong emotional intelligence, this role offers huge scope for professional development.
A Craft Apprenticeship (& HNC preferred) in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering is required.
At least 5 years’ experience as a hand on multi-skilled engineer maintaining electrical, control, mechanical and pneumatic related plant and equipment.
Experience of installation of new plant and equipment.
Responsive and flexible attitude to supporting internal and external customer requirements.

Demonstrate a Safety-first approach to every single aspect of the role.
Trouble shooting, fault finding & resolution to root cause of compounding related plant and equipment.
Ownership of shutdown planning and execution, inclusive of shutdown and start up activities.
To implement the engineering improvement plan for specified Compounding Units.
Heavy focus on reliability of plant and equipment, working relentlessly to ensure that plant availability & OEE metrics are continuously improved.
To deliver best in class equipment availability and reliability through reactive, preventative and predictive maintenance techniques.
To plan and direct the installation, testing, operation, maintenance and repair of all facilities and equipment within the Compounding Units.
To direct and co-ordinate, the engineering activities associated with all Compounding plant and equipment, managing contractors, service providers, installation engineers etc.
To perform administrative functions, review and write reports, and make decisions on the purchase of parts, equipment and services.
To provide engineering support to process and equipment improvement activities in support of increasing equipment OEE and availability.
Performing requalification of Isolators and sanitisation cycles.

Knowledge and experience of clean room operations and associated equipment.
Practical Problem Solving.
Project Management.
Risk Assessment.
Failure Mode Effect Analysis.
Negotiation skills.
