Key Account Manager / BDM - Diabetes Care (North East England)

Our client is a market leader in the Diagnostic field and are active in all market segments, from scientific research and clinical laboratory systems to patient self-monitoring.

The company are now looking for an experienced Key Account Manager / BDM to work in their market leading Diabetes Care division covering the North East England territory

As a requirement of this role you will be expected to develop and implement a commercially biased market access plan, identifying strategically who will be the focus in terms of customers and specific points of contact e.g. Procurement and Clinical decision makers. This role has a business development focus to it, so you will be required to grow a robust pipeline of accounts (NHS Trusts) across all appropriate sectors as well as manage any existing relationships that have been established. You will also be someone who can analyse and interpret healthcare data (HES, IMS) in order to identify and prioritise high priority accounts across the territory. Some of the key customers will include medicines mgmt., associate directors of nursing, hospital procurement, Senior service managers, pharmacy and procurement leads.

You will be liaising with internal and external stakeholders to understand their clinical needs, and then adapting the companies service and product base to suit. A thorough understanding of the changes within the NHS, as well as the challenges and the opportunities within the Diabetes Care therapy area, will be essential to the success of this position.

To be considered for this role you must have recent experience within Medical Devices or Healthcare, and have a proven track record of driving/engaging with key NHS stakeholders (clinical and non-clinical) at various levels. You will have worked across primary and secondary care and have experience/exposure of formulary and tender working.
